The Eternal Pavilion is filled with numerous mazes and although it is rumoured that there is only one true Labyrinth – is this the one? In some you start from the outside and work inwards ( introexplorum) and others you start from the centre (if there is ever a true centre) and work your way outwards ( extroexplorum). Not all rules apply – wanderers must observe all aspects of maze lore – Know your mandalas from your cryptocartas (or cartocrypts where the lost souls of the dead meander on the way to ancient Necropolis, but will maybe stop and chat and become lost in mazes of memory – where you can join them if you so choose). You have almost certainly been this way before. De Ja Vu magic is practiced by denizens of the maze. A forest maze has no walls but many of trees look the same, this may also be true in an endless hall of pillars, long corridors of doors. Cross bridges -expanse spanning, or tiny and rickety; wash your feet in the memory cleansing Waters of Lethe. What is at the heart of the Labyrinth? A Monster? A Minotaur? Or is it ourselves? Our secrets, our fears, our desires? Dare ye enter? Representations of the Labyrinth are welcome here and are perhaps the hold the key to the exit. (Feel free to add here images of mazes or images of the dreamy and lost for it is here they should dwell … forever …)

Here's another minotaur - but he's more goat like - actually he's probably Ibix-like because he/she is called "Ibixian" (from MMIII copywrite D&D WotC illus. Dave Allsop)

Eeeek. Yup thats quite a can-opener. Just reminded me - I think that the Minotaur is often portrayed with the double-headed axe because that was the symbol of Crete or the Palace of Minos. A bulls head and the double axe head would appear on coins together (perhaps even prior to the man-bull myth). ... cant be sure might have to get back to you on this. Any thoughts? No bronze-age axes in the cupboards?
