I remember ages back wanting a Playstation 2 just to play ICO. I think you'd hate ICO. Unless you took the "drowning Lara" approach. ;]

I'd just look at the prettiness - actually solving any puzzles would be improbable (suddenly I'm reminded of Soul Reaver).

It is that.
Plus, my boyfriend pointed out that it's also a game to torment short people! There's a lot of jumping up and down and not being able to reach stuff!

I'm back on Broken Sword II. Just ask everybody everything and the story just has to progress.

Golden Sun on the GBA sp - an adventure game (spoilt by only character-to-character conversations). Pretty fights. (Wikipedia entry: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Sun )

Connection kept dropping - so I started playing Bust-a-move on the Snes emulator. edit: utterly rubbish on it after imbuing wine.

I'm in love with Legend of Zelda - The Minnish Cap (GBA game) The sounds and the graphics are so charming. Damn you, Nintendo and Miya-what'shisname!

I hear many geeks are disappointed by Nintendo not announcing a new Zelda game at the E3 conference....

That's most curious, because I think I've read at least two articles about products not being ready for E3 (PSP, an e-book-reader and probably some sort i-thingamagig) . You'd think they'd tell us about the stuff that is happening at E3 - (all those things we can't afford and won't be available in this corner of the world for two years or something, then of course the first generation will have rubbish batteries or something ... blah blah ) Okay I'll shut up now. Damn, the GBA is back at my secret base and I'm at Camp Darkness. At least I can play Voyager Elite Force here, but I really need a nap ....

I'm still recovering from the paddle steamer - but trains?! It's funny to think that my concept of fantasy is so narrow that I refuse to accept the fantastical. (Flash-back to anachronistic ghost camera and Kabubi Robot in Goeman Mystical Ninja on the N64, set in medieval Japan, apparently... No it's fine, Final Fantasy sword guns and lasers, loosen up GK, it doesn't all have to look like Arthurian Britain ...) Mind you, portable Zelda in any form has to be a good thing.

I've not quite got the hang of this cloning malarky in Zelda/Minish Cap. (Do I really like the dungeons followed by the difficult boss monsters? Depleted heart containers bleeping when near death, hoping there's still a fairy in that bottle ...)

Due aggressive mood swings and trepidation of a boss-monster in the Wind Palace, I've switched from Minish Cap to Link's Awakening.
Bow-Wow - dognapped by Moblins? To the marsh!

Tried to play Neverwinter Nights 2 earlier but it's being a bit buggy - no sound effects, a variety of frame-drop/speeds and I've forgotten how to best control the camera. Far too much work after all my recent pick-up-and-play GBA experiences.

Just been playing GBA Bust-a-Move (Bobble) - they could have filled the screen a bit better, but it's still addictive. ( Youtube example of play) (Ebay purchase)

I'm fairly impressed at how playable that game is ( *tries not to wish the Computer Project was still running* ) Talking of "impressed", I bought Sacred (plus Sacred Underworld) in a bundle 3-for-something deal in Game and it runs well and looks very pretty on dad's crummy laptop. Because I so need more fantasy RPGs on that laptop. ;D ( GameSpot screen shot gallery)

Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon would be a really good game if it had come on as a coin-op or on the SNES in the early 90s and was played by a player with determination and perseverance. The sound effects are ace! Glad I've got it. It's very "pick-up-and-play" but completing levels seems like hard work. (Can't say I wasn't warned! )
