Maybe it's a type of shell shock, battle deafness? How odd, that's the sort of problem I'd usually associate with trying to run DOS games etc. How many Call of Duty games are there now?

I think this is the fifth, although there have been two development teams and one of them didn't get released on PC.

I see. Broken Sword has been rather cruel to me tonight, there's only so many times a man can see his own tombstone ... (Downloaded " Lure of the Temptress" in case I run out of point-clicks' )

I've finished Broken Sword - Hurrah! Although it never really explained what the Sword of Baphomet really was - I mean there was some glowing pillars and lightning ... I think I fancy Nico more when she is pixellated as opposed to in the cartoon form in the cut scenes - attraction is a strange thing.

^ Haha, I remember being quite taken by her French apartment - "let's forget this mysterious tomfoolery and spend our lives drinking coffee in our pants".

;D "J-orge, you are talking c'rap." Her "friend" at the museum was seriously creepy - I don't trust these older, confident, long hair -pony tail types! George is a bit thick sometimes but I think he was right not to trust him with Nico.

One day you will look back and wonder how you ever coped without armour and a good weapon in your hand. No, wait, this might not be a good thing ...

Been playing Oblivion - as part of a quest I have to look at a book in a library to gain some particular knowledge. Only trouble is, I've previously helped myself to lots of the books there and sold them. Have been back to the shop I sold them to, but they don't have it now. Have checked other shops too. Can't find another copy anywhere. Oops!

That quest diary can be misleading. Reading about the game online and remembering a few things, I'm pretty sure now that you can just continue without the book (especially since Azura's Shrine is now marked on your map) Text from the missing book: www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Modern_HereticsI also read on that site that the book can be found in the Mage's Library back at the Imperial City - don't even think about about. I tried to break in and steal a copy with your save - you got deaded several times, to say the least - it's not worth it! www.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page is a great resource for both Morrowind and Oblivion. Did I mention to peeps that I manage to install a TV-card in my card - mainly so that I can play on the consoles through it? This is mainly because it has an old fashioned aerial-coaxial port. Make way for you the N64 and Megadrive! The screen gets a little hazy in places - I think it's a frame per second thing - so Diddy Kong Racing has an extra psychedelic "trippy" element (not that the game needs it - Elephant: "Allakazzam!")

I was playing Halo 2. It stopped being fun again. Started to feel like an older shooter where just upping the numbers of opponents is a justifiable challenge, if you know what I mean. Hmmm. I've just read that Oblivion is on the PSP (?)

Quickly revisited Diablo II last night, the scenery is starting to get interesting - nice graveyard and catacombs. Diablo II is a serious no-brainer, kil, collect, sell, go up levels, get powers. Click, click, click - hit "I" for Inventory ... Potion quick keys ...

Madworld on Wii - childish uber violence. Lovely. I was surprised to hear none other than Gregg Proops (the whore) doing the TV narration. boards2.sega.com/sega_board/viewtopic.php?t=101491&sid=1f7c610dfa787f8fee7a4f7d05e240e3"IGN: Are you a fan of videogames? Greg: I love the look and feel of MadWorld with its monochromatic future-past vibe punctuated by torrents of the old vino. When it comes to games I ride old-school: Sonic, Ms. Pac-Man, Pong. I will Pong you down." Arf.

I'm never surprised by Grep Proops since I found out he voiced Bob The Builder.

Okay, for a no-brainer it sure is addictive - between 4am and 7am I slugged my way to the defiled Monastery. Spending a lot of time time going back to town and selling stuff. My Barbarian (called "Raa") has little use for bows, light armour and gay magic wands. Kill, pick up stuff, carry, sell, kill, pick up stuff, carry, sell...

^ Hurrah for classics! Finished Halo 2 (on normal?) - bit of a grind at the end. Diablo 2 keeps calling to me. ... at least it runs on dad's laptop. So many other games await my return. Game (the shop) had nothing to offer me today in the £5-£10 budget ranges. Getting to that stage again when even the older games would push my graphics card to the limit. Saw a strange thing in game - Mega Drive consoles for sale? - www.game.co.uk/CoolStuff/Toys/~r341250/Sega-Mega-Drive-Console-15-Games-in-One/

I couldn't sleep and did another 2-5 am stint on Diablo II on the laptop with headphones. The (rashly named) RAA is now a level 21 Barbarian with serious double axe mastery. I keep getting my hirelings killed - but the guy I rent them from doesn't seem to ask many questions. Supply and demand, I guess.
