An N64 Emulator on one of Jo's laptops is keeping me sane. Although Diddy Kong Racing is not a game one can measure sanity by.

Spent ages chopping logs in Skyrim last night. I made a good bit of gold. Also saw salmon trying to jump up a water fall. It's good that I'm getting out and about.

I actually finished a game, Thief, about a month or so ago.

Yay, for completion during busy times! Me creeping up on a dragon in Skyrim. I'm still more scared of giants, who effortless bat me my floppy body into the air. Not fun!

The ending was a bit poop, as was the overall story (only because all previous Thief games have had such strong plots). Still, the game atmosphere was Thiefy despite what the internet, in its angry child collective form, proclaimed.
One day I'll finish Skyrim and the world will end.

Half Life 2
DAT500 gave me a copy on Steam 100 moons ago. City 17 never looked so real. I really want to build a "gas-bike"!

^ Half Life 2 is a thing of wonder. I re-installed it after the upgrade and it's stood the test of time well.
Currently installing/updating Dragon Age Inquisition. I spend a lot of time installing and updating games without actually playing them as I don't have the time.

Looks great. Especially surreal when Flickr are trying to sell me hearing aids and life insurance between your pics of the road warrior.

Trying out a random free puzzler on Steam. "Missing Translation" Already stuck, of course. The graphics remind me of my Mac Classic

Oh dear. I'm back on Diablo (1). A gamer on a Twitch recommended a patch which fixes the resolution and allows it to be played in a window. (This means, in theory that it can be streamed to the iPad, meaning that with the right foods and a bucket I can now live in bed) (more) I blame Diablo III SW Commander also has its lightsabered hooks deep in me. Apparently across the umpteen billion games being played, it is the Empire which "prevails". www.disneyinteractive.com/news/games-apps-news/star-wars-commander-celebrates-its-one-year-anniversary/

I've finally blown the dust off my Game Cube and am playing Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. It looks great on my big TV (normal ratio) I'm determined to stick with it this time. No dawdling, minimal exploration between quests, and focussed gameplay, so I don't forget what I'm doing! In three days I'm sure my attention will have drifted again (possibly back to Skyrim or the infernal eternal nonsense that is Star Wars Commander on the iPad), but so far in two sittings I've got further than I have before (I think). Its from watching all of these speedrunners on Twitch.tv, I just have to believe that games /can/ be completed!

Falling back into Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Skyrim. I'm trying to blame Steam, but I seem to be on the run from a few things, so it's full immersion in fantasy world time. (plus patches, mods and updates .... downloading .... downloading .... crash .... reinstall .... downloading)
