okay Another tech rant. iPad + google blogging comment boxes = retarded failure. Simple pasting isn't working. Apple forums are useless. Spent over an hour trying to respond to a comment on my own blog, and have got nowhere. stupid piece of junk. Sick of selfish people at work, fucked off with other organisations. RAH! And relax.

RAAAHH! I cancelled my appointment yesterday, and also phoned the drivers' office to let them know I would NOT need a driver today. The guy on the phone said he would make a note of it and thanked me very much for letting them know in advance. Then the driver turns up at my house as usual this morning, message not been passed on, he's had a wasted journey from the other side of Leicester, and I'm all flustered and embarrassed about it. Why can't simple things be managed??? Balls.

Seriously wet floors at work. A few folks, not quite on the right side of considerate (mental health issues asides). Colleague off ill, the cover staff had very different priorities. Lots of people wanting 1 to 1 chats. Running around - actually running, sliding, cleaning up... But hey at least I get paid. On the home front the storms have flooded Darkness's kitchen and disabled her boiler. In sympathy, my own boiler was pouring water onto my own kitchen floor.
My only pleasure was hope that there'd be something onto a local tornado on the news which wrecked loads of stuff, but instead I was treated to Torvil & frickin Dean (oh god, please just emigrate) Olympic torch relay live-from-Nottingham shenanigans.
*Huffing sigh pfft* etc.

It better not f?cking rain again!!! Clearing up one flooded kitchen was quite enough. I alternated between swearing and sobbing whilst wringing out many many towels.

Our gear box has buggered up.

Just had a bit of a moan to self about having to write a letter to the NI/Tax guys because you can never get through on the phone. A bit confused and worried, because if I remember correctly, if you don't do things right then they start fining. Weird day all around, lots of surprises.

MEMORY STICKS. KEY DRIVES. PORTABLE EVIL LITTLE FUCKERS.
Why oh why do they always break???
I nearly lost a days hard work! What the hell? Am I meant to back up all my files three times EVERY TIME I SAVE MY WORK??
Thank God I wriggled it and it functioned.
As anyone ever bought a decent memory stick? I don't know why they keep breaking! I've had three different kinds now!!!!

Oh God, Merf, my heart breaks every time something goes wrong with USB sticks. I'm fond of using Dropbox now - but it nibbles at your download limits if you're synchronising all the time. I think if I invite you, they might give me more storage.

I find the really tiny sticks can literal snap in half. Also depends on the condition of your ports - I'm sure when they first designed USB they never thought how much we'd be actually plugging them in and pulling them out.

USB drives are really difficult to use really you have to put a bit of force behind them no wonder they break. Don't even have one at mo. I use my uni drive and my hotmail and my hardrive and anything put those tedious breaking things.
My rant is:
1) I want a Blue Badge 2) I want a car paid for ha 3) Free swimming
DLA is so difficult though I can't be bothered!! I mean I doubt i'd get it I'm too stubborn that is my problem. You'll see me crawling up stairs and staggering about as I refuse help. ha
My current flat has SIX FLIGHTS OF STAIRS.
Thank GOD only two days! Think I'm dropping dead already.
I want wrist supports but worried they'd make my wrists worse...I want something to stop them hurting so much like where I wear knee supports for exercise that support rather than restrict.
My main issue is I don't want to appear to be a scrounger and begging for money...but being "disabled" is so bloody expensive.
£199 for a bus pass I'd not have bothered with if I could just walk instead! I mean it is only 30 minutes wtf I used to walk 4 times that before I got "iller".
£30 for knee supports and £30 for hiking poles in vain hope I'll be able to hike for university.
fücking expensive food as I'm hypersensitive to 323456423 things.
I also have to pay for an ensuite as I need access to the bathroom when I need it which is sometimes £30+ extra rent I mean I handle it at home just cuz everyone is always at work anyway so I'm alone. ha

I applied for uni accommodation yesterday. And I was at work and I had to write a note requesting no more than one flight of stairs and I was well paranoid people would see my screen and it was like "aaargh".
Admitting to being disabled is shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
Which reminds me, I need to apply for DSA. Bugger.

Oh, and mehrf, DSA will pay for the extra cost of having an ensuite room if you have a medical need for it.
My (former) friend (who so doesn't but claims to need one) got the difference between a normal room and ensuite room paid from her DSA when she was in halls.
I have a whole other rant about her bullshit, but moving on...

Really??
I'll have to look into it.
I wonder how that would work.
I usually stay in one that only offers En-suite for that reason so they can't try and stick me in non-en-suite.
Honestly though it isn't so much the cost it is the fact least if DSA/Uni say so due to medical certificates they can't shove you in a standard. lol
It is same with blue badge everyone quickly exclaims FREE PARKING where actually I'm willing to pay for parking I just want a badge to allow me to park closer.........! Like I'm not as fussed about the bus pass.
Why do people always assume disabled people are money grabbers? lol
I can't stand medical fakers. I blame them for the disability shit that takes 10,000 years. If no one faked it they'd not have to be so strict. lol
I do have DSA for my pain at the moment so laptop, extra time...eventually a support worker when I ring them up next week. Plus a chair once I re-order it.
Do you get DLA...Disabled Bus Pass...etc too?
I'm currently not in halls as didn't realise i'd be allowed but uni said I could. Bah so stuck miles away till September. lol I have this issue with always thinking I don't have a real illness so applying for support is difficult for me.
I mean if anyone elses says they have ME/Fibro/CFS I believe them but I can't help thinking I myself am faking it. lol

I don't receive annnything. I don't think I'd qualify for anything other than DSA tbh. Well, I might, but it's so hard to get stuff and I am fighting against admitting I'm not well.
I'd really love a freedom pass, 'cause I spend loads on buses when I would walk if I could, but they're difficult to get 'n' all. Since I don't drive, I've not attempted the Blue Badge question.
What makes me really cross about people who exaggerate to get "preferential" treatment is that... for those of us are really sick it is hard and painful and a massive step to admit to being ill enough to need help. It makes me really angry when people who have really minor problems and milk them for all they're worth because... bitch PLEASE? And there's a whole entitlement thing that makes me cross.
blahblahblah.
I had to do the whole "please let me stay in halls next year I'm a cripple" thing. It was so depressing. And that I was then approved in seconds was even more depressing. I thought I might have to quibble, or at least wait until my GP could back me up, but they accepted it without his evidence. Because it's so obvious to everyone that I am helpless.
As for why do people assume disabled people are money grabbers? Because they're morons. They've no like... thoughts. They get cross about having to pay for parking and they circle the car park to find a space close to the door, so they assume we're motivated by the same things as them. Never mind that a disabled parking space can be the difference between doing their shopping and turning around and going home for a disabled person.....

Honestly I really need a car...I'm sick to the back teeth of walking/busing it somewhere and then by the time I get there I'm having to grit my teeth to hide the fact I think my nerves are exploding.
Today for example, went to town on the bus and my leg was killing like a MFing biatch. lol
After my boots interview I think this women thought I was drunk as she gave me a right filthy look when I was kind of walking up against the wall. lol
I've ran out of my fatigue pills and I need to see my GP. Dreading going hate having to explain that yes once again I have a NEW symptom this time neurological.
~~~
I remember when I applied for DSA at this uni, she didn't understand as to why I put off getting support for...um...years!
My counsellor has been going on at me to get DSA for years. Like since we met. And even before I told her about the whole pain thing.
"fatigue pills"? likeohmygodyouhavemedication to help fatigue??? That's like the freaking holy grail.
