GK was right.... today was the dreaded day of the maths exams. 4 of them. but, they went well. i got an answer for every question, which is always a good start!! my dad is like a mathematical genius, so he did the questions when i got home, and from the sounds of things i got quite a lot right!! ;D my sister told me i look pregnant and my mum told me it was shocking that i was getting fat. my dad told me that i was almost as fat as he is. i need to sort this out |

I wouldn't worry Thrin, estimated turnout was ridiculously low. These kinds of things bring out the extremists and the handling by the media is offensive - we go from the horrors of immigration to the threat of the BNP without taking a breath. It's clearly the media, in all its forms, that is having the greatest impact to simply occupy space and fill in headlines. The UK traditionally has little time for the BNP or NF or NSM or whatever these clumpnuts have called themselves throughout the 20th and 21st Centuries. The extreme right parties tend to destroy themselves due to their radical opinions on the way forward - when one is immersed in extreme culture it's difficult for everyone to agree. It's certainly nothing to panic about, we're far too affluent a country for extremism. Well, there's a direct correlation between extreme groups - the extreme right fuelling the extreme left and vice versa. However, Respect rode the anti-war protests quite significantly. I'm guessing the credibility that George Galloway had probably imploded after the  fiasco. Respect, like the BNP are insignificant in this country. It's only press reactionaries that give them more kudos than they deserve. |
