No!! Never sell games! You'll regret it, when you're trawling Ebay to buy them back only to discover you have to pay sky-high prices for "collectables". (ps. you can always smite me back, y'know )

I know several people who sold all of their games, and now they live in a world of nostalgia-fueled regret. Hmm, maybe you should sell them - rid yourself of the clutter and buy hiking boots and embrace the great outdoors! (heh, heh) *crawls back into dark house and blinks at the pretty screens ...*

You'd be surprised. Games nostalgia is powerful and evil force ... it is the Dark Side. Ebay is strong in the Dark Side.

You hate it so much, you just had to keep playing right? I was really enjoying Morrowind that night before last. A nice walk, a bit of killing, and some shopping.

I've managed to install Morrowind on dad's laptop. It's great because I have less interruptions here. Almost going blind playing it too late though. I've been diving for pearls in full armour.

In Fable last night I successful got a woman to follow me to the Chapel of Skorm, where she was then sacrificed to evil gods. I'm a good guy, honest. Mwhahahaha!

Baldur's Gate works fine on this PC! Unfortunately the GameCube only displays in Black and White with some slight image distortion on our TV, I think we're going to try and find a PAL compatible one once we're settled in the new house - TO WALMART!

Are you still getting the second TV? I think it's worth it in case E wants to watch telly whilst you get a birdy with Peach. I mean, it's a case of priorities ... BALDUR'S GATE! Forever will it haunt us! If there was ever a reason to say no to Vista ... Have you tried the SNES emulator yet?

Okay, just tried a bit of BG on dad's laptop and I'm getting beaten up so badly, that I'm beginning to feel bullied. (again) I'm too sentimental - I keep ressurecting characters. Costs a fortune. I should be spending the money on magic arrows. Oh well, executive decisions.

So, I've solved my Gamecube problems. Fortunately I don't have to spend nearly a hundred quid to buy a converter to get the signal from my GC to work. Unfortunately I do have to spend $250!
ON A WII.
I have a copy of Freeloader which I used for playing US Games on my EU GC, however, I can play EU games on a US GC using Freeloader.
OR A WII.
I get paid on the first of December. I think you can probably figure the rest out for yourself. Hint:
IT INVOLVES A WII.

Wii -heh, those wacky nips. ;D For DAT500: Shimi: "Ani, this path has been set before you." __ Darth Vader: "It is your destiny" __ Emperor: "Take your weapon and strike me down" ^^ Do it for them! And Link, and Mario, and all the rest ... __ Divide the price up between six months and think of it as a rental. Sell at slight loss before you leave. Buy another with games when you return to UK.

All pre-orders have sold out for the Wii, so I probably won't get one until after Christmas - there are some crazy people trying to sell them for around $500-$600; it's amazing how the whole "must get one for Christmas" madness dominates console-land. It reminds me of the whole Buzz Lightyear stuff.
During my time looking for a solution to get the cube to work I did manage to track down an Official RGB Scart for the cube, so when I /do/ return to Blighty I'll get to improve the visuals of the cube!
There is no doubt about buying a US Wii, like you said I can offload it in May or next November depending on when I return full-time to England - which certainly isn't in doubt at the moment. ;]
So, I'll get to play Wii Sports and Zelda in the next few months.

Of course you just buy a pack of playing cards. ;D In Game they had some radio controlled MarioKarts - I saw a Mario and Yoshi. I thought of you. No Wario though. I think I'm actually stuck in Star Wars Lego - you know when you start thinking that they're might be a flaw or bug but it's probably just you being thick as Bantha poodoo. I'm so evil in Fable and I'm still only on disk 1. I like eating baby chicks ("+5" evil every time). Haven't even entered the chicken kicking contest yet.

I can't remember if you actually change disks in Fable.
There's a review of Neverwinter Nights 2, claiming it's the last of the Baldur's Gate type rpgs! What with that and Medieval Total War 2, it's almost criminal being here - I may end up getting the games delivered in the UK, just to cope with my online consumer addiction. ;]

Saw a review of NWN2 in PCGamer- looks amazing the comparison was with SW:KotOR but with "no droids". What you think they do they mean by "last of" BG type RPGs? Yep, you might be right about Fable. I keep turning down a story progression quest. As usual, I'm just faffing about fishing, killing locals, swapping tattoos, filing down my armour spikes ... that sort of thing.

I'm guessing in the narrative mechanics and technology. Fable and, more obviously, Oblivion have pushed the whole thing on more - it would be interesting to see if NWN 2 is more like KotOR in terms of control, because I tended to use mouse-movement, a la BG, over direct control.

Good point. I was assuming it would be now identical to KotOR. I guess at some point when it's on budget I'll have to get a copy and find out first hand, because I really need another HUGE RPG ... ;D
