They started to smell the goblin market long before they heard it, the breeze carried promises of spices and cooking meats to their eager noses and hurried them along the path, as they reached the crest of the hill the view of the goblin market opened up before them like a book.
It was a vast sprawling maze of tents and shelters, with a myriad of creatures spread across the market. Goblins fought with orcs and picked on the imps. Bugbears sat in groups around fires and passed flasks filled with vile smelling liquids, every now and then they would trap a passing fairy and force the poor creature to take a swig, their laughter reverberated around the surrounding tents as they released the now very very drunk fairy back into the throng of people.
As they entered the market they were surrounded by sellers of all persuasion trying to get them to buy this and that, to drink this and to eat that, but they polity but firmly declined it all, as they journeyed further into the center of the market the crowds got thicker and they had to push past people to make any kind of progress.
They reached the edge of the crowd and saw what all the people were here for, sat in the center of the clearing on a throne of simple but elegant taste sat the Goblin King, he held court to those closest to him and listened as they told him of their travels outside of his kingdom. From time to time the fairies would pass round trays filled with food and drink for all to enjoy.
The travelers joined the edge of the circle and sat down to listen to the tales of adventure that the goblin markets inhabitants had come to tell their king.
Ok so it's a bit naff but it's half 12 and I badly need sleep
