I couldn't resist anymore! Though most of you have probably already seen this...
The day draws to an end as the sun takes its flight,
Now the sky is engulfed by the darkness of the night.
In the shadows I sit and watch the stars appear,
Thousands shine out so bright and clear.
All thoughts of reality escape my mind;
My unhappiness has been left behind.
No longer are my wings chained down,
To my head returns my fairy crown.
It's now time to return to old life,
So long I have been haunted by pain and strife,
'Just want to be real' that's what I would plea,
Of the 'real' world I wanted to see.
Tonight I shall return to my kind,
My destiny in this world I wish to find.
No longer can I hide this lie,
Where I come from I do not wish to deny.
My wings were made for me to soar,
No more shall my feet be clamped to the floor.
The two worlds I know, they are so contrary,
All I want to be is a fairy.
I'll be happiest when I return to my throne;
I can't take the fear of being alone,
Back with my friends I long to be,
They are the only ones who understand me.
I sit and wait for them to come;
In the distance I hear the beat of the drum,
The drum to show the princess is now here,
I am home - down my cheek rolls a tear.
And so the stars begin to fade,
I suddenly remember why I was so afraid.
Of this world nothing is real,
Just a dream of what I wish to feel.
A fairy princess I long to be,
From the real world I wish to flee.
Once again I feel the reality of pain,
For I am only sat out in the garden, in the rain.
The day draws to an end as the sun takes its flight,
Now the sky is engulfed by the darkness of the night.
In the shadows I sit and watch the stars appear,
