I met Mikie for lunch, in Oakham.
We had honey bacon dough balls. Weird. And then I had pizza with kofta on it.

Ah, yes, I guess that explains why kofta isn't a big part of my world. Just had the last two M&S jaffa cakes.

^ It's so thirst quenchy
I was inspired by the lovely weather to go and buy nice healthy things. I got bananas and cucumber and sweet peppers and baby corn and apple crisps and mango and pistachios and farm shop coleslaw (the farm shop coleslaw is SOOO good. it's got poppy seeds in it) and also kendal mint cake and ritter sport because healthyoverload.

Pistachios in bed might not be the best idea. Everything's covered in little bits of shell.

Anything which absorbs alcohol! Also, pick foods without colour, potato wedges etc. -- Tesco everyday value cheese n onion pasties are both cheap and remarkably filling.

It's all "velouté of this" and "emulsion of that"... I'm hoping to god they serve mocktails as well as cocktails. I don't do alcohol and if it looks like I'm trying I might get away with it...

On Friday I did proper baking with the occupational therapist. Had to wear a pinny and everything. Started out with flour, egg, butter, cheese, cayenne pepper, milk, ended up making 13 little cheese scones! And I ate some, and gave some away, and nobody has died yet!

This morning I have baked an AMAZING carrot and orange cake. It smells and tastes fantastic. The best thing about it was that it was entirely my own creation. Looked up carrot cake recipes on the internet, then chose bits from several, to make my own. Gave the OT the recipe so she could make sure we had everything, but then after that it was entirely my own work, she just stayed in the kitchen with me. Very pleased with self, right now.

I'm really getting into Tesco Spanish tortilla omelettes (free range eggs).
Lettuce has no function. If I was a lettuce I'd rationalise this meaninglessness by becoming an existentialist. (With green leanings)
