How are the injuries? Stage management might be better if your ankles and knees are still bad. This is not such a big deal, what happens on Monday? Sounds like they need you either way. The tech work sounds like a lot of work in a year in which you don't need the extra hassle - whereas the dance will be more straightforward. Tech would appeal to me, but so does hanging around with competive girls in leotards ...

i have to let the teacher know on monday so i can be reimbursed £18 and so she can find someone else to get the money off/be in a dance with an awesome choreographer... meh.. even if i do tech i can still choreograph the younger years and help in my games lessons and stuff.....
hmmm.. at time of typing this post i chatted with steph.. and she has said it would be good for me to do tech... and to talk to ms parry so that if i get 3 people backstage with walkie talkies etc and me and nat in the box then i could possibly wangle it so that the dance i want to do is like 2 after the interval.. i start the 2nd half with me nat and a backstage hand in the box... and run around to do my dance... then go back to how things were origionally... that *could* work!!!! woo!
need to find backstage crew! doh.

Okay that sounds like an interesting solution - if you can pull it off it could earn you much "kudos". Hmm - my advice would be to minimise stress levels and just opt for one - but then I think I used to do plenty of tech and drama at same time - happens all the time at college. Just make sure that you keep the roles clearly defined and don't let people take advantage with extra rehearsals and so forth.

hmmm.... no... but if i manage to wangle it to dance the one dance... i have to find an old formal/cocktail dress and have fun ripping it to shreads!
have since spoken to one of my drama teachers about it... and she would be happier with someone in the box that actually knows how temperamental the new board is... ive arranged to have the keys on monday to show steph what i know so that she can teach a different teacher... and im having a lesson after half term.... and hmmmmmm......
looks like im gunna be god... instead of a lowly dancer... hmmmm
