Windows Key + D shows the desktop by minimising all program windows. Useful in emergencies. Pressing them again returns everything to what it was.

Windows Key and M is inferior to Windows Key and D - because it switches between open windows and the desktop, therefore, hitting it again will restore all the windows which M doesn't.
