Ooo I like that word! Other countries seem to have way better traditions than England!

we've been eating Pepernoten today :-)
Sinterklass and Zwarte Piet left things for Sanne... and she shared them out... and we all went out for drinks and stuff together :-)

I love the idea of putting a poem in with the present.

Wikipedia: "Sinterklaas in different countries: Country: Luxembourg Saint: Kleeschen Helper: Houseker Tradition: Comes from heaven, not from Spain"
I don't know why this made me laugh.

we're gunna celebrate big time next year for Sanne... and write the poems and she'll get us Pepernoten and we'll make presents and stuff like she does with her friends at home...
she'd banned us from getting christmassy until Sinterklaas had been... so we've not opened advent calendars or anything special for her...

All very bizarre... But cool.
Must admit, had horror moment at the spelling of Sinterklaas - must never ever EVER again date someone with a double 'a' in their name... How could it have possibly ever worked out with such strangeness from the start? ;D
