Stained glass windows - cos they're so pretty when the light shines through them! But only nice patterns, like flowers or art deco designs - none of those religious God-pictures...

Unrequited intellect, I think, although it's a very difficult one. But whilst I know (from my current lack of concentration to read much) unrequited intellect is frustrating and miserable, I think unrequited love probably hurts more.
