Thank you lovely people What did I get? Esther got me an anatomically correct heart necklace. Alex got me a Buffy comic (as he said, "limited edition, they only made 3000 of them!") and a book of poetry by women. And the monster headband you've seen.... Daddy got me a subscription for New Scientist, which I asked for. Alice & Ellie got me some posh elderflower tonic water and some nail polish with silly colour names. My sister gave me some makeup and a necklace, brother gave me lots of chocolate. Mother got me a selection of gifts mostly made by her friends, I think... Some postcards and a necklace, and some raspberry vodka by Two Birds (the distillers in Harborough) Carolyn my team leader at work got me some sunflowers Natasha and Theo drew me a card. They each drew a minion on the front, and then gave me a packet of Haribo minion sweets. Natasha wrote on the front "This writing is here to let you have a breather after being amazed by are [sic] drawings." We had a family gathering at my aunt's house yesterday which was nice. Rupert was really excited to see the cat. The cat was deeply unnerved to have another crawling chewing beast in the house. (The cat is not friendly, she's kind of wild. She's harmless unless you mistake her for a tame animal and stroke her. Then she defends herself.) Rupert was good though, he was excited to see the cat but didn't chase after her or try to touch her. Only downside - with Mummy and Daddy and Natasha and Granddad in the house, Auntie Chloe was wayyyy down the list for cuddles. |
