How is the first week of your New Year going?
I've managed to get into debt already. Darn JSA and lack of payments.

I read this as "Human Papilloma Virus. New York. Mixey!" My 2011 has been pretty rubbish so far. Ho-hum. (I got a lovely paisley shirt and a grey-brown waistcoat in the sales tho. )

Mine is going well...I am trying to be more positive...especially now a university has given me an unconditional.
I am thinking of 101 goals for 1001 days.

What uni are you going to, Merf?
I've forgotten how to live like a student... why does my mother keep her house so clean?!

you'll be surprised how quickly you become a proper student again...
so far 2011 has been filled with family medical drama.

What uni are you going to, Merf? I'm leaning towards Manchester Met but they've not given me on offer as of yet...but I am not too fussed really...I found four universities with all of which I want...the three Manchester ones and the one in Leicester so whichever one I end up at I'm sure I'll be much happier than I was at Keele!
What is considered a proper student?

To be honest, it's all been a bit of a blur. I think this is the first time in a long while that I've actually been doing any social browsing so to speak. Work's interesting - with both my colleagues and the drop-in members we're often trying to work out what's day-to-day stress/depression, winter blues or post new year blues. The nice part is that people are generally glad to be back into a routine after Christmas, and are just grateful that everywhere isn't covered in snow! Congrats on the unconditional Merf! Yeah, becoming a student again is just like falling off a log (possibly drunk )

Forgive me for grinning a little, best time of year for it IMHO. ;D (Hope things are going okay) well... my grandpa had a fall on new years day and even with my grandma trying to help couldnt get back up so he's in a home/hospice/something (havent yet figured out which from conversations ive overheard) but cos he hates the food in places like that the special diet he was on has kinda failed and he needs a massive blood transfusion then hopefully he will be allowed home... meanwhile... my uncle is now in a 'stable' condition (i so dont get that expression... its not like he's a horse....) on a cardiac ward having had at least one minor and also a major heart attack last week.... having never had heart problems before ever. bad news comes in 3's eh??? who's next?!

proper student= eating food off/in the wrong dish/cup/bowl/container with the wrong implement.... because the washing up mountain is just too much to tackle!

lol I wash my dishes etc straight after using them. ;P I also kept my uni dorm nice and clean and tidy and all my folders organised.
I am going to improve even more when I re-start in September 2011.

*raises hand*
I ate panna cotta with a knife. I have no idea what happened to my teaspoon. But a knife works, if you hold the pot verrry close to your mouth. (I say panna cotta - Morrisons failed a bit on that front - it was a creme caramel.)
