Humphrey Lyttelton has died. I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue will never be the same, if they can carry it on without him at all. He was 86 years old - chair of ISIHAC on Radio 4, had a jazz programme on radio 2, was a cartoonist and writer for many newspapers and magazines, a lifelong socialist, and turned down a knighthood in taking his stand against 'the establishment'. A major figure in British jazz, playing the trumpet since 1936. Louis Armstrong called him "That cat in England who swings his ass off". www.humphreylyttelton.com/
