Robin of Shewood - ITV3
Missed the beginning, sheriff appears to be away and so Gisbon uses the opportunity to pick on the locals – who have taken to worshipping Hern the Hunter in open air festivals in the forest. Some really really hard armoured guys turn up and trash a local tavern – they turn out to have been hired by Gisbon … The phrase given to them in a conversation between an angry Will Scarlet and Robin (Michael Praed – 1 st series) … is “Land Pirates …”
;D
(The smoke machine is working over time as well …)

Solaris (modern version) - looks and sounds wonderful (my DVD collection is still small and filled with the wonder of new quality ) - but man it's a come-down - keep going to switch it off but its compulsive - It's the human aspect of it - very intense ... etc.

Space Walk - Live on BBC24 Interactive (very small image). Very hard to tell what you're looking at - all I know is that the CMG-23 is being replaced on the Zee-One Truss ...

Just watched at the local cinema ... War of the Worlds - and I very surprised to say that it was terrifying and unrelenting and quite dark. - Spielberg fans may like to count the set pieces - and it is the opinion of this viewer that this film had as much to do with terrorism as I have to do with 9-to-5 jobs - not much. Although there seems to be a naive American obsession with destroying cars or being left without a car - hells bells - end of civilisation! Yep the Tim Robbins bit is silly ... woah

Steven Spielberg has some weird hold over the people who decide on the ratings. Jurrasic Park was a PG, I saw it before I was 12, was f?cking terrified! Gave me nightmares
