("the" Episode III - erm typo - cant seem to change it ) So we're waiting, we're waiting to watch Anakin become Darth Vader, possibly and potentially one of the greatest tales ever to be told ... Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith Its gonna suck isn't it? I'm going to have to burn my stars wars toys like that guy did in Spaced ...

If I live to be 40 I will never understand why otherwise sane and rational humans regard the Star Wars saga as anything other than a slightly entertaining childrens' series. The dialogue and plot lines are laughable; the way that George Lucas made a passing attempt at adding some kind of pseudoscience to the jedi lore was cringeworthy. As an aside, did you know that something like 10% of respondants to the last census wrote down their religeon as jedi? This little factoid scares me almost as much as that dimwitted drunkard cokehead in the whitehouse.
And.... relax.....

i have the star wars box set dvd thing, part 4,5 and 6
and i really like them, but i was bout 13 or 14 the first time i saw them, so i guess thats why i like them, i was still a kid
having seen parts 1 and 2, i was left thinking "what was the point? surely you cant need the money"
there is no point to the first (?) 3 movies being made, you dont care about any of the characters as you know who lives and who dies, all the little bits he threw in to try and tie it all together just looks fake
he should have stopped at the last (?) 3 and not bothered with the prequels

GK, DK223? If you think that Episodes 1,2 & 3 micturate over a well-loved childhood fave, wait 'till you see what Evil Uncle George has up his sleeve... "reimaginings" of episodes 4,5 & 6 have been mooted, as have episodes 7, 8 & 9...
DK rightly points out that Lucas doesn't need the money, but I don't think that's the guiding principle. Don't forget, he's now been hawking his tawdry "Space Western" around for 30 years now, and has always been a driven character (ask anyone lucky enough to be with him in Tunisia during initial filming), and he is, I think, obsessed, and no-one in his organisation has the cojones to say "George, mate, give it a rest! Now, how about that sequel to Howard the Duck we've had on the back burner for a while....?"

did he do howard the duck? i love that movie ;D again i was only young and didnt know any better, but still its a cool movie
i have officially given up on the star wars movies, i will still like parts 4, 5 and 6 as they take me back to my childhood, and happier times, but i dont think i will be going to see the new ones he makes
on the other hand i would go see a sequel to howard the duck, that movie is so bad its good ;D

Actually, I rather liked Howard The Duck too.
The problem was that in the comic strip, the running gag was that everyone thought that Howard was just a guy in a duck suit. This joke kind of falls flat when it's obvious that Howard is a guy in a duck suit!

Doesn't he appear in Episode 7- Attack of the Andi Peters of Death? And that poster (looks up) is the most horrific thing I have ever seen.

Ok so if Star Wars 3 sucks as it will I am going to be devastated. The problem was that the reason 4 5 and 6 were so awesome was that they were ahead of their time... way ahead of it. The fact that is was all done on such a tight budget just made it all the more impressive... and then George Lucas went and fncked it all up... he got rich. He is the only director in the world that has enough money to fund not only the film but also all the advertising required to make it a number one blockbuster.... This is just gonna be sh!t

LOL ;D (*GK's v bad impersonation:*) Yes ... sound like Yoda, you do ! I remember a Star Wars series of books for kids aimed to promote literacy, and in the corner of the cover was Yoda saying "Read You Will!". I could be wrong, but I personally think that this was a poor introduction to grammar and sentence structure ...
