I dined at Essi's house yesterday, with the family (this happens a lot, I'm like an honorary member ) so I had mushrooms AND broccoli AND carrots AND green beans! That's more veg than I'd eaten all term ;D Now back up North and to my diet of maryland cookies and diet coke.

I had a "chicken curry", mushroom pizza, peanut butter milkshake, coconut milkshake, watermelon and mango frozen yoghurt, strawberries and cream sweets...
It amazes me, as when I first had to cut out gluten/dairy you could get NONE of this.

Yes. I got it from Shake-away, or you can make it, I make my own sometimes at home basically just wizz some ice cream, milk and peanut butter together.

My father bought me a kitchen hand held food processor/chopper. It is my favourite thing being able to make my own milkshake. lol

I had pesto dressing leakage in my carrier bag yesterday. There's basil-y olive oil EVERYWHERE.

Yuck! Least it was a carrier bag and not a handbag. lol
It makes me happy that the local vegan/organic store sells cheesecake but why can't they do chocolate or strawberry or...? Normal flavours in other words. haha

Pesto is ace, although I can see why spilt pesto would be an oily messy situation.

Pesto is BRILLIANT... but I prefer to eat it than find it smeared across my room.

Cous cous and tomato and garlic sauce, with cheese. For a change. Variety. Excitement. Tastes of precisely NOTHING.
Will stick with the brilliance of pesto.

Greasy pesto leaks - I used to get that a lot with Sainsbury's deli goodies. Hmm, hungry again. I may have noodles later.

Too hot to eat but the cold lucozade I had after my cool shower was very nice.

Dominoes boneless ribs are just as bad as you would expect. They're also slices of pork belly, so I don't get where they get off calling them 'ribs' of any sort...

The landlord has finally replaced the microwave!
Think of the possibilities! Meals in tubs, spaghetti hoops, soup....

Ours broke in February... I had forgotten all about hobs and stuff :/ It is very exciting to have one. I had a celebratory soup.

We just moved to a new place about a month ago. The kitchen's quite small and it doesn't have a microwave (or room for one, really). I have to reheat everything in the oven - it's crazy!

I'd swap my microwave any day for a real oven, or more than one ring or a cooker that you can use the ring and oven at the same time.

It's definitely nice have the option. I'm rather fond of my Nuke Box in the Food Room. Just had toast. Toasters can be pretty cool too.

Admittedly I can do without a microwave better than I can do without a hob or an oven. But this is meant to be civilisation!
