Someone's phone was ringing for hours night before last.
Literally.
I went to bed after an hour's worth.
My flatmate was out and someone was ringing his room phone. I think it was someone drunk who'd just left their phone somewhere, still ringing.
The room phones in this building are really loud as well!

I used to send out evil psychic blasts when sharing houses and halls - the walls are thin enough to allow the maximum ethereal chi through ...  ___ Okay. They badger me to take a holiday (one day). I make arrangements and agree on a date. And then they have me down as working extra days, covering someone else's holiday whilst I supposed to be holiday  - how does that work out? It doesn't help that my manager blames his dyslexia when he types the wrong dates in messages. I mean, come on, double check, at least try to do the whole manage-the-diary thing.  Also I completely got my interview day wrong. Of course it wasn't today, of course it isn't for ages. I've clearly gone mad. |

grr... i know today was my last day in school.. and i know if i want to keep friendships then i have to work at them... but i dont want to go out tonight and stand about watching idiots play pool avoiding having to buy anything to drink after the dodgy stuff i got last time making small talk with people i'd rather never see again... nor do i want to go and watch something at the cinema tomorrow... im just not in the mood. i want to sleep and then i want to enjoy being outdoors... grrrr... i dont mind losing these people... they've not been all that great to me really... why wont she just drop it n leave me alone?!

In the last month two more people died in our flats. Neither from natural causes. Nearly all of these people have several professionals who are supposed to look out for them or check up. It's like our street is a sort social services dustbin. And then the people's possessions are just emptied out unceremoniously and binned. I'm not sure what can be done, but surely it's never been this bad? (  it's tragic and it's a disgrace) |

( it's tragic and it's a disgrace) I know when you're living in it, it seems a lot more hopeless, but we're not living in Victorian conditions, at least ;] Also, you know how some of these people have rejected the help and driven on cruise-control to their own self-destruction. If we have failed as a society, it's partially because we've created an inadequate support system and not given citizen's the freedom to always determine their own future. So, despair is a more consistent option. Stay strong. xx |

I think you're absolutely right, DAT500 - some of these guys get plenty of chances. On a plus note the police have been leafleting, telling us not to be shy in reporting "anti-social behaviour". Ok it was important so now I just hate the postal system. It's about my accomodation for next year and the letter is dated 27th july! I need to send the tenancy agreement back by the 10th which is pretty soon. So it must have been sat hanging around for ages grrrrrr.
