Make Firefox Mozilla browse faster

For peeps using Mozilla Firefox:

I was sent this by Lynne Turnbull (member here and NSHN) - to which I responded with my usual suspicions that there aint no such thing as a free lunch without a cookie or a virus (who makes these terms up?)

Here is a fix i have discovered that will make the Mozilla firefox web browser run faster

How To Make The Mozilla Firefox Web Browser Run Faster

1. Type about:config in the address bar and hit return.
2. Scroll down and look for network.http.pipelining then double clik on it to change the entry from false to true.
3. Scroll down and look for network.http.proxy.pipelining then double click on it to change entry from false to true.
4. Scroll down and look for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and change the value to 30
5. Then right click anywhere on the screen and select New/integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and then click ok and set value at 0.

Hey presto! Faster web browser.

There's also an app called Firetune which can be used to optimise your FireFox browsing experience. If you're the nervous type, you can make use of it's facility to revert back to a previous config.
