Ok well we currently have a keyboard and are about to get a piano. (Exciting! ) I just realised I have a chronic shortage of anything with more than 5 notes and one hand, so does anyone know of any decent download sites? Preferably free. Or can anyone possibly send me any? Pleease? ;D Thanks!

Hey there Kelly - I've had a little stumble around the web ... it appears that quite a few sites pretend to offer freebie stuff but then dont - maybe I'm not looking hard enough The yahoo directory for sheet music is dir.yahoo.com/Entertainment/Music/Sheet_Music/

So sorry, what was I thinking?? No but really, beginners books, or just compilations, aren't that expensive. Or you could see if there's a really big library near you, then you could photocopy

You kind of have a point there - I cant believe the amount of web sites which claimed to have free sheet music and then wanted a credit card number. That reminds me, must go to the library ... ... now where are my matches?

i'd go with the borrowing and photocopying thing, because sheet music over time will cost you a fortune over the years we must have spent about a grand on sheet music for me and my sister and as for free sheet music sites, your right, they do all lie.

Heh - considering many composers have been dead for centuries you'd think there'd be a royalty and ciopyright free element - like with Shakespeares plays etc.

www.eliteskills.com/musicscores/But you need to download something like 'Noteworthy Composer', which is free but only for a limited amount of time I think. Either that or see if you can download a copy of Sibelius somewhere.

Hmmm. Faced with the difficulties of actually getting any music from the net, maybe I'll have to resort to actually getting off my arse and going to buy some!
