Don't you just hate having sucessful friends? A guy I went to school with was a director and producer on Top Gear. And his dad was eaten by a bear.
The two events are probably unrelated, now that I come to think about it.

... is the only film in the world that features a fight between Obi-wan Kenobi and Dr Who.
Obi-wan Kenobi is harder than Dr Who, sadly.

lol just skimmed through that link - and came upon "While ordering my second lightsaber ..." So I guess we're all in good company. ;D
Chatted to The Wade recently and he was bemoaning the lightbulb going in his now (no)light-saber. It still makes sounds apparently. ( ::)now in my day ...) Actually Kenobi would win because then he'd just Force-push Dr Who all over the place until he dropped all his jelly babies ... ;D

It's a very swish, full time place. You take off your shoes at the front door and it's carpeted all the way through with tatami (rice straw mats). As with all these places, there are pieces of Japanese Caligraphy on the walls, most of which I recognise from various judo/aikido/ju-jitsu dojo around the world. Aside from one. After the session. I asked sensei if it meant what I thought it meant, and he just smirked and wandered off. What did it say? Loosely translated, it said "Do, or do not. There is no 'try'". Will get a copy of the Kanji and post of anyone's interested.

Goddamn. They're all frauds these sensei guys - unless Lucas was quoting directly from a source and I wouldn't put it past him (not an original idea in the fat bearded skull of his )

I'm not sure. He uses a lot of Japanese words as character names, for example, and it certainly sounds like a bushido tenet. I'll see if I can spot it in Hagakure or The Book Of Five Rings. My library of 17th century samurai texts is a little limited (i.e they're the only ones I've got!).

Hiya (love the new Avatar) Just been watching Dr Confidential on BBC3 - they said they filmed some of it in Swansea. They had the snow machine with all the paper snow you talked about. My mate Phil was interviewed on the camera (he was loving every minute of it). I didn't realise that Dr Who was exclusively made by BBC Wales. Cool eh? Although there were quite a few jokes about Cardiff not being the place to visit or die in. Excellent stuff.
